WELCOME
Our family has been living at Killruddery since 1618 and today we are very happy that three generations live here. Living heritage on Dublin’s doorstep!
Killruddery is a true celebration of the great outdoors and an authentic, bio-diverse space. We continue to meet long-standing Members who enjoy Killruddery as their own back garden; it is our delight to build a strong community here who are as passionate about conserving this estate as we are. We produce chemical-free vegetables, fruit, cut-flowers and free-range meats for our Farm Shop and all our ‘garden-to-plate’ menus for The Grain Store, Pizza Shed, Coffee Shop, Tea Room and Carrot & Coffee Corner.
Over the past decade, we have responded to the challenge of preserving the House and Gardens by transforming Killruddery into a popular visitor attraction on Ireland’s Ancient East, a working farm and a private hire venue for weddings and corporate events. However, at the heart of this enterprise, we wish to protect Killruddery’s soul and unique character as our special family home.
You are most welcome. We hope you will enjoy your visit and return again and again.
Earl and Countess of Meath, Lord and Lady Ardee and the Brabazon family.

A WALK AND TALK WITH HEAD CHEF NIALL O'SULLIVAN AND MARKET GARDENER PAT KEADY
SUNDAY 19TH MAY
MEMBERS: FREE
ADULT NON-MEMBER: 10.50
CONCESSION NON MEMBER: 9.50
“Biodiversity underpins the functioning of the ecosystems on which we depend for food and fresh water, health and recreation, and protection from natural disasters. Its loss also affects us culturally and spiritually. This may be more difficult to quantify, but is nonetheless integral to our well-being”
– Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations
In the Spirit of National Biodiversity Week we invite you to join our Head Chef – Niall O’Sullivan and our Market Gardener Pat Keady in a Walk and Talk.
Niall will take you on a foraging walk around the estate, demonstrating the wonderful diversity of edible plants available around us.
Pat will take you through the vegetable gardens explaining how we work with the soil to support soil + plant health, creating health-giving food, using only natural methods there by supporting biodiversity.
About Niall O’Sullivan
An acclaimed chef; Niall started his career in the kitchen at Wrights Brasserie in Monkstown as a teenager, before going on to complete a degree in Culinary Arts and hone his skills in a number of Dublin restaurants, including Cavistons in Blackrock and Bang in Dublin City Centre. A stint in Melbourne, allowed him to immerse himself in Australia’s diverse food culture, which left a lasting impression. Niall is a founding member of Nádúr Collective, foraged ingredients are central to his cooking and he puts provenance of ingredients, seasonal and local foods first in all he creates.
About Pat Keady
Pat grew up surrounded and immersed in nature not knowing the meaning of the word biodiversity but piecing together the web of life bit by bit, this early involvement shaped him as a person who understands the need to protect and promote nature in everything we do. This is a major part of why Pat became a grower, a journey that brought him to Cork to study sustainable horticulture, then on to run his own market garden in Connemara and now here in Killruddery growing chemical free vegetables, he is constantly trying to improve and learn new methods to grow healthy nutritious veg on a large scale, while protecting and promoting nature.

CAOIMHIN O'RAGHALLAIGH AND GARTH KNOX IN CONCERT IN THE ORANGERY + PRE-CONCERT DINNER
FRIDAY, 24TH MAY
PRE-CONCERT DINNER + CONCERT TICKET: ADULT: €69 ADULT MEMBER: €62
CONCERT TICKET ONLY: ADULT: €20 ADULT MEMBER: €18
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Lord and Lady Ardee invite you to join
Caoimhin O'Raghallaigh and Garth Knox in concert in the Orangery.
Despite their very different musical backgrounds, traditional music for Caoimhin and classic/contemporary for Garth, this unexpected duo quickly discovered a real musical affinity in playing together. Encouraged by the success of their first concerts, plus a growing friendship they recorded their highly acclaimed debut CD 'All soundings are true' with Diatribe records in 2018.
The musical mix of their unusual instruments (hardanger d'amore and viola d'amore) produces an amazing resonance which is quite unique. Their repertoire navigates inventively between traditional themes, contemporary sonorities and intimate improvisations.
Attendees are invited to make an evening of it with a special pre-concert dinner in The Grain Store, featuring a seasonal menu of fare grown and reared at Killruddery, just a few metres away from your concert venue.
The pre-concert Supper will begin at 18.30, with the concert beginning at 21.00 for a duration of one hour, for guests not booking in for the Supper, the Garden will be open from 20.00 with drinks & snacks available at the beautiful Tea Rooms.

Beautiful house and gardens, lots of variety with the farm road walks around the back of Killruddery and great food. Had an excellent house tour today with Barbara. I regularly visit the gardens and farm roads and would highly recommend a visit to both the house and gardens for anyone.
Loved the magnificent gardens and the great tour we had of the house with guide Sarah. Lovely lunch options in the courtyard. Great picnic area for families.
